LOCATION
Tokyo is the capital city of Japan. Japan is an archipelago that consists of 4 main islands, Tokyo sitting on Honshu, the largest island. Located in the North Pacific Ocean, Japan is disconnected to its neighbouring countries China, Russia and Korea. The distance opposed the countries from contacting each other, but despite that migrants still travelled to Japan and introduced new techniques. All areas of Japan obtain high levels in rainfall, resulting in high humidity. While the climate ranges more cool in the north and subtropical in the south, Japan is surrounded by the ocean, which moderates the climate. The moist environment allows farmers to grow fruits and rice. In late summer and early fall several typhoons attack Japan each year damaging many houses and crops. Picture: Map of Japan.
